Temporary

Right, if nothing happens on the server front soon, i'l be setting one up myself as a temp one. I'l pay for the first month out of my pocket, so i can take my time and figure out how it all works, but if in the end it is working and decided that we shall keep that one then i'l be needing donations after the first month.

So yer, just letting you lot know my plans and giving you the heads up. I'm thinking end of this month/beginning of march if all goes to plan.

i am up for donating too, and people who may be reading this thinking I can't afford or am not paying £5 per month for a server, please remember that the more people who pay the less you have to pay as (as far as I know ) money is not trying to be made from creating the server

good good, well checked how much it will cost just now, and for a 20player 100tick public server (hosted in London), along with a 20 slot TS/Vent server it comes to $43.95, or -$4 if you dont want the vent/TS server.

Btw its in dollers cause its an american company, so it works out to be about 22pound a month which when split 5-6 ways doesnt amount to much.

i would want a ts server as we could set it up to use for css and any other games, and just to chat to other members I say yes for it but I think that we should put that to a vote as it is the clan would would need to make up the extra

yer well it says its $4 per moth (just over 2 quid) for 20 slots so its only a matter of 50p-75p more per person.. ish...

havent decided how we would work the server admins. I'm thinking along the lines of donators get admin rights, however would have to be of a certain amount so we dont just get ppl donating a quid n expecting admin rights, however i shall devise a system when im bored in class next week and let you all know.

Note, in during the first month i shall be choosing a select few to help administor the server (if all goes well), and so i can figure out how to add admin etc. & also so there would be an admin around most of the time if needed. however we shall cross that bridge when we come to it.

Not Just trying to get the admin ability's but im on here most of the time...

i think that people who donate should get some extra rights(such as voting priority,etc), however full admin rights i dont think should be given.

if it is given to all people then we may have too many and loose control.

BTW star, admin is earnt through trust as well as knowing the players not just for spending all hours of the day on the forums, as you could have someone on our forums all the time but is a complete ass and would really mess things up if they were given rights (not that you are )

I think this is the same for our server, people are paying for it and to give FULL rights to players just for the money could cause problems as they may mess things about
